New York City weather in June isn’t that rainy, but the occasional rainfall can happen. Here are some things you could do when it inevitably happens:

- ☕ Grab a Coffee at Devoción or Birch Coffee: Rainy days equal sitting with some coffee and a good book. Some of my favorites are Devoción and Birch Coffee. Devoción has many excellent roasts to pick from, and Birch has great specialty drinks to try!
- 🍽️ Eataly Flatiron: Most New Yorkers are familiar with the Eataly name. It has a few locations spread through town, but Flatiron is the crowd favorite. You can find some unique ingredients, sample some snacks, or even sit down for a full meal at the rooftop restaurant.

We can spend an entire rainy day without leaving the borders of the Flatiron District, but there is much to do if you’d like to discover other indoor spots in town. The 23rd St Station is an entry door to every other neighborhood in town, taking you to iconic museums and Broadway shows.

What to Wear in New York City in June
Summer in New York can get as extreme as winter gets cold, but that doesn’t mean you should give up on stylish outfits. On top of that, your clothes will need to transition from lunch to sightseeing and a night out, so here are some wildcards to pack:
👚 Go for breathable base layers like short sleeves and shorts or skirts. You can get good base pieces from places like Uniqlo on Fifth Avenue if you want to buy them in town.
🧥 Lighter outer layers — while the weather gets incredibly hot sometimes, we still go into places with air conditioning, try to always carry a light shirt or cardigan with you.
🧤 Sunglasses, hair clips or ties, and a reusable water bottle are going to be survival needs while navigating such a major city. These items are also super easy to find in town at any Target or Walgreens.
👢 Waterproof shoes – even if it isn’t raining! You will be so glad to have them on because NYC has puddles everywhere.
🎒 Chic backpacks or totes— Trust me, you will end up needing to carry a lot of things, and your pockets won’t be enough.
