The neighborhood takes its name from the world-famous Flatiron Building, that wedge-shaped building right on 23rd Street, across from Madison Square Park.

The area is great for those who like to walk, there’s incredible Flatiron food on every corner, and it’s just a few minutes from tourist type stuff like the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and Madison Square Garden.

I live a few blocks south of Madison Square Park and I can say: this area is vibrant, practical and full of life.

Whether you’re visiting museums such as the Mathematics Museum or the Modern Art Museum, sipping artisanal coffee in the stylish cafés here, or enjoying a boutique hotel with giant windows, Flatiron has a special place for you.
